Kinnikinnick Cinnamon Sugar Donuts

I tried these donuts around the holidays and they were so yummy! I had the chocolate ones before so I really wanted to try these. Of course as a gluten, I had to make them even more decadent...I put jelly on them!
I ate them heated up a bit too :) So delish. Buy them...eat them...love them!

Arrowhead Mills: Gluten Free Brownie Mix

I had Girls Night over at my house on Wednesday night. This usually includes me cooking. I made Brinner ( breakfast for dinner) and Arrowhead Mills: Gluten Free Brownie Mix for dessert.
My guests were my non-gluten free friend Melissa and someone you may be familiar with, Stephanie! Stephanie and I are obviously awesome because we are gluten free and you are probably awesome too because you are most likely gluten free too! We have discriminating gluten free tastes. So when I introduced this to our lives it had a lot to live up to...we have reviewed and tried a lot of food for our blogs. Did it live up to our standards? Have you tried it?

The Review:
Arrowhead Mills: Gluten Free Brownie Mix is made with organic rice four. It is also vegetarian, low in sodium and free of preservatives. This scored points with me from the beginning. It was also easy to make. I didn't even dig out my Kitchen Aide mixer, I just used a mixing bowl and a spatula to mix it. Simple and that was just what I needed...no hassle with clean up. I also loved that there was chocolate chips thrown in. I threw it in a heart shaped pan since I love my friends and it baked no problem.

Once it was time to test it, the truth came out. Melissa said it was good. Stephanie and I, we had much more to discuss. We didn't hate it but we said that it DID NOT COMPARE TO BETTY CROCKER BROWNIE MIX. It crumbled more and the consistency was actually more cake like than brownie like in my opinion. It doesn't lack in flavor though. I would make it again but it isn't my go to mix.

Betty Crocker Peanut Butter Bon Bon Mix

I was over at my friends house for a playdate and I saw this on her counter. I dismissed this as something I probably I couldn't have. Of course, I usually do not get to indulge in delights like these at events. She told me to look at the box. I scanned...once, twice, a dozen times. It looked safe. The only ingredient that needed to be added was butter. We purchased new butter (to be safe from contamination) and we were set!

I was in charge of making this decadent delight for four adults (including myself) and six children. The noise level was high but I think I handled it! This is a no bake, easy to follow mix.

It is messy to make. When you get to step four ( rolling the bonbons in chocolate) you get covered in chocolate! However, this does not make me love it less. I love peanut butter and I love chocolate.

These were very delicious. I would make and eat them again! The kids liked them too!

Pizza Date at Barrow's Pizza

(Originally posted on Impressions Of My Life At The Moment blog)

As a gluten free gal we dont go out on pizza dates very often. My favorite pizza place is Picazzo's because they offer a full gluten free menu and their food is just out of this world amazing. Their food is gourmet & just delicious anyway, I think Steve thinks I am slightly upity because I compare any and all pizza to Picazzo's...their pizza is a 10 in my book.

We decided to try Barrows Pizza because they have gluten free pizza and it was a success! I didn't get sick and it was delicious! It is a "personal" pizza so I got the gluten free pizza and Steve got the non gluten free pizza however when it arrived I thought that it was pretty large in size and I gave him some of mine and he said he couldn't tell. I rated it a 8 or a 9. He said he thought it was just as good as Picazzo's.

Here are pictures from our date:

Gluten Free Love! Shout Out To MY NON GF-Boyfriend!

This is my supportive boyfriend and me. He calls me his GFGF (GlutenFreeGirlFriend). I call him Steve. We were friends years ago...prior to my days as a celiac and then we lost touch. I ran into him at a party and he found all about me be a gluten free gal, that was the same day we became an item and he has been making sure I dont become glutened ever since. What a guy!

He has been on many outings with me to get gluten foods. Like the time that we went for gluten free eclairs! Yes, I did find them, back in August during this blogs hiatus, I promise I will blog all about it. And, Steve was there to keep me company and try it with me and take pictures for this blog and my other blog!
He also wants to make sure that I always feel included in indulging in the sweet stuff when I am at his home. He baked this pie for me FROM SCRATCH! Yes, that is right. He didn't even brag about it. His mom told me that it took him hours and he was so modest about it. This cherry pie he made me was incredible. To this day, it was one of the sweetest things a guy has ever done for me.

He often makes me gluten free pancakes for breakfast too! He is always making me feel so pampered. I love every moment with Steve! He is just wonderful! Happy Valentine's Day everyone!

Email Question: Two Kitchens?

Two Kitchens?

I was asked this in several emails regarding the food review pictures so I will answer it on the blog too! The pictures I post on my blog are taken in my home and also in my boyfriend home because we often cook gluten free there.

Udi's Gluten Free Pizza Crust

Unfortunately, I don't have a third video discussing our love for this product. We devoured this pizza. It was fun to make and easy too. I am not posting nutrition stats because it depends on what you put on the crust to make it your own delicious gluten free creation!

Another Udi's product success! I am starting to think this company can do no wrong.
