Kettle Cuisine: Chicken Soup with Rice Noodles is just what the Dr. ordered

A package arrived at my house, just in time.
The dry ice package from Kettle Cuisine!
Soups were delivered and I couldn't wait to try them. A variety of of soups in the Kettle Cuisine line (meaning lots of reviews for you!).

I decided to try the Chicken Noodle Soup with Rice Noodles first.
Easy to make, made my kitchen smell like I had been slaving over a hot stove!
I went with this soup because it was actually a windy day in Arizona on the day the package arrived. I wanted a more traditional soup to warm me up. Also, I always crave chicken soup when it is cold or I am sick. When I  prepared the soup, I found that the directions were easy to follow. After a few minutes in the microwave, the soup was ready to be devoured.

I only wish that the servings were bigger on the soup because I love big bowls of soup. I love that Kettle Cuisine uses ingredients that I recognize without having to look anything up.
Ingredients of the soup:Chicken Stock, Chicken Meat, Rice Noodles (brown rice, rice bran, water), Carrots, Celery, Onions, Chicken , Sea Salt, Spices.

Have you tried  Kettle Cuisine yet?

Holistics Herbal Elixir By Adina

Photo from:couponpro.blogspot.com
I have been sampling the different flavors in the Holistics herbal Elixir by Adina line  for a few months now and I am impressed. There was only one flavor that I have tried that I didn't really enjoy (Mango Orange with Chamomile).

I believe this is the first drink review post ever on the blog and while I plan on featuring more lines in the future, I found this line intriguing because of how the company is seeking out the gluten free community/ health conscious.
  • Their product is all natural.
  • Fair trade certified
  • Certified Gluten Free!
  • USDA Organic
The line features many delicious flavors. My two favorites were: Blackberry Hibiscus with Rooibos and Jade Green Tea with Tulsi.

Where have I been?

Hum...good question. I have been around and cooking. So, yay for you all! At first I got into a major food funk, which I tweeted a bunch about. This is when I was still a vegetarian. Yes, I think my vegetarianism played a part in my funk. I never knew what to eat. Going out to eat, which is sometimes a challenge as a gluten free lady got a trillion times harder at some establishments. Eating became mundane and I became more tired than usual because even though I am taking a multi-vitamin, I was still missing out on some protein I needed. I hated eating and I hated food. As a glutton, I was not enjoying the gluttony that I had in the past. So, I was grumpy about food. I would complain in the supermarket and I hated to cook. I recently stopped being a vegetarian and I am ready to make my blog return! TADA!!!

Sorry if you missed me, I missed you all too! New food post in a few days!
