Arrowhead Mills: Gluten Free Brownie Mix

I had Girls Night over at my house on Wednesday night. This usually includes me cooking. I made Brinner ( breakfast for dinner) and Arrowhead Mills: Gluten Free Brownie Mix for dessert.
My guests were my non-gluten free friend Melissa and someone you may be familiar with, Stephanie! Stephanie and I are obviously awesome because we are gluten free and you are probably awesome too because you are most likely gluten free too! We have discriminating gluten free tastes. So when I introduced this to our lives it had a lot to live up to...we have reviewed and tried a lot of food for our blogs. Did it live up to our standards? Have you tried it?

The Review:
Arrowhead Mills: Gluten Free Brownie Mix is made with organic rice four. It is also vegetarian, low in sodium and free of preservatives. This scored points with me from the beginning. It was also easy to make. I didn't even dig out my Kitchen Aide mixer, I just used a mixing bowl and a spatula to mix it. Simple and that was just what I needed...no hassle with clean up. I also loved that there was chocolate chips thrown in. I threw it in a heart shaped pan since I love my friends and it baked no problem.

Once it was time to test it, the truth came out. Melissa said it was good. Stephanie and I, we had much more to discuss. We didn't hate it but we said that it DID NOT COMPARE TO BETTY CROCKER BROWNIE MIX. It crumbled more and the consistency was actually more cake like than brownie like in my opinion. It doesn't lack in flavor though. I would make it again but it isn't my go to mix.
